Friday 29th March We were so proud of the children in all of their performances. They did such a great job! Thank you for coming and supporting the children in learning their words. We hope that you have a good Easter break. This week at school we have been learning how and why Christians celebrate Easter. We started from the point of view of the children. We introduced the concept of "sadness turning into happiness". The children discussed times when they had been sad and the things that had made them happy again. We then read the Easter story and discussed how Christians feel sad on Good Friday and then celebrate on Easter Sunday. Phonics This week in Phonics we have revisited alternative graphemes for "ear" and "air" these are "ere" (as in here), "eer" (as in cheer) and "ear"(as in bear) and "are" (as in square).
